i was motivated to buy a couple nets for kids in africa so that they have a chance to not get bit by a mosquito that could give them malaria and end their life. i also am getting a free shirt, which is not as cool as potentially saving a kid’s life, but the shirt is incredible. i love this:

I’m reading Jesus for President right now. Shane Claiborne’s first book messed me up pretty good, and I’m actually about to dive into it again with some high school kids in a small group that I lead. But this book really messes with me. I’m not exactly sure about what I even agree and disagree with yet, but there are some troubling things. Not troubling like, watch it man, you’re messing with stuff you shouldn’t, but troubling like, oh crap, that kind of makes sense and makes me feel like I’ve been tricked for all these years. I’m also excited to watch this discussion/debate that I read about a while ago and just tagged it for later. I’ll probably get to watch it this weekend. I really like what Greg Boyd has to say, Shane Claiborne is kind of out there and kind of right on, and Chuck Colson sort of creeps me out. I hope it’s good.
