My beautiful wife Rhonda had a brilliant idea for this Thanksgiving. Just like Squanto was a guide and translator for the pilgrims, so should we play football. So, a few text messages later, we had organized our first annual football-in-the-park-so-that-you-don’t-have-to-help-cook extravaganza. People traveled from afar to join us (Oregon and Honduras). It was a ton of fun, and I have to say that next year, wherever you find yourself, send out some text messages, find an empty park, and work up an appetite on THXGVG by throwing interceptions and tripping people when they aren’t looking. Squanto would be proud. (Andy, Bonnie and the Fribergs were also there, but not in the picture)
