I’m not sure what to call this season, but I’ve got this feeling that I need it. So I’m listening to the still small voice. And some others chimed in that they wanted to give it a go as well. So here is the schedule I’m going by. It’s grueling to say the least. The first leg (the first 16 chapters in Genesis) took me close to an hour this morning. I knew I would have to stop doing some things in order to do this thing, but that’s a chunk of time. I know it will be worth it. I feel like it’s going to be like Don Miller says in Million Miles, about how when you row somewhere, that you leave the shore and it’s all fast, and right away, you’re thinking about how small the shore looks and then the middle is just so long, and you don’t feel like you’re getting anywhere, but you are and you just have to keep rowing. I feel like it’s going to be like that, but I hope that it isn’t. I also feel like I know how it ends, so it’s like I’m starting to watch a movie, and the foreshadowing makes me want to jump ahead to the good parts. But I’ve read the good parts, and I know those. I want to know why they are so good. I want to know the whole story. That’s why I’m reading the whole Bible in 90 days.
What are the “grace days” at the end?
they were in the schedule i found, so if you miss a day, you don’t have to freak out and think that you need to bust out 2 readings in one day. instead you get some grace. so it is actually, Bible in 88 days, but you can be a slacker on 2 days.
ahh. very cool. I’m a fan of the grace
