Have you ever thought, I am aware, just powerless?

That’s where I have been for the last year and a half with this issue of human trafficking and child sex slaves.  One of the reasons I’ve felt so powerless is because I don’t have the resources to go to Thailand to start fight it.  SlaveryMap.org changed that for me.

When I narrowed in on northern California, I found some reports in some of the large cites (Sacramento, San Francisco, Oakland, etc), but what I never expected was this: Brownsville.

This was a sex trafficking ring that was run 20 minutes from my house.

So much for being powerless.

Like they said in Call+Response, “If you’re not seeing it, you’re not looking for it.”
