Somebody asked me if I could do something on Saturday.  But I’m busy.  I’ve had plans for 4 years.  Saturday morning at 11:30 am, the US plays England for the first time since 1950, when we beat those british blokes 1-0.  Lucas, Ethan, Masoud and I got to go see US vs Sweden a couple years ago, and we saw Donovan become the leading scorer in US Soccer history.  Last summer, at the Confederations Cup, the US beat Spain (who was ranked by FIFA as #1 in the world at the time) to make it into the semi-finals.  These 4 years have built up more anticipation than I have had for any other World Cup.  I’m looking forward to Friday morning when I will consume donuts and coffee and watch the World Cup opener with Lucas and friends.  Rhonda and I started emptying the Tivo last night just to make room for the matches.  Here is a beautiful video ad that nike put together of some of the Cup’s biggest stars, and as Zach Lind said, if this doesn’t get you excited for the World Cup, then you suck.
